Udaipur is a city in rajasthan.It is located 403 kilometres (250 mi) southwest of the state capital, Jaipur and 250 km (155 mi) northeast from Ahmedabad. Udaipur is the historic capital of the kingdom of Mewar in the former Rajputana Agency. The Sisodia clan of Rajputs ruled the Mewar and its capital was shifted from Chittorgarh to Udaipur after founding city of Udaipur by Maharana Udai Singh.

The Mewar province became part of Rajasthan after India became independent.Udaipur city is also referred to as the “Venice of the East”,the “Most Romantic City of India” and the “Kashmir of Rajasthan”. Udaipur the “City of Lakes” is one among the most romantic and most beautiful cities of India. The city of Dawn, Udaipur is a lovely land around the azure water lakes, hemmed in by the lush hills of the Aravalis. 3.Nimach Mata mandir:- it is located near fateh sagar lake, there are total 750 stairs for going to this temple.This is an awesome  experince to go there.  Best time to go this temple is at night before 10 .view of udaipur from this temple is very nice at night time.

4. City Palace:- This is one of the best place of Udaipur,it is like an museum and all things of Maharana  Pratap  are kept here. You can also see dummy of chetak(horse of raja Maharana Pratap) here. Movie Ye Jawani h Diwani is also suited here.

6. Kumbhalgadh:- Kumbhalgarh Fort is a Mewar fortress in the Rajsamand District of Rajasthan state in western India. It is a World Heritage Site included in Hill Forts of Rajasthan. Built during the course of the 15th century by Rana Kumbha and enlarged through the 19th century, Kumbhalgarh is also the birthplace of Maharana Pratap, the great king and warrior of Mewar. Occupied until the late 19th century, the fort is now open to the public and is spectacularly lit for a few minutes each evening. Kumbalgarh is situated 82 km northwest of Udaipur by road. It is the most important fort in Mewar after Chittaurgarh

7. HaldiGhati:-Haldighati is a mountain pass in the Aravalli Range of Rajasthan in western India. It connects Rajsamand and Pali districts, 40 kilometres from Udaipur. The name is believed to have come from the turmeric-coloured yellow soil.
He mountain pass is historically significant as the location of the historic Battle of Haldighati, which took place in 1576 between Rana Pratap Singh of Mewar and Raja Man Singh of Amber, general of the Mughal emperor Akbar.aldighati is also world famous for its charity rose product and the mud art of Molela, and the Department of Tourism is promoting a private cottage industry by adding this information to Government publications.
