The film raked in Rs. 39 crores net approx on its day 1 leaving films like Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Dhoom 3 and Happy New Year behind. Shah Rukh Khan starrer HNY that released on Diwali in 2014 was left back by a small margin by PRDP.
Highest Opening Day Of 2015-
Salman Khan has been giving hits on hits this year. After his highly acclaimed film Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo also proved to be nothing less than a smashing hit. PRDP has set record by becoming this year’s biggest opening film as well as the highest opening day of all time. Upcoming films like Dilwale and Bajirao Mastani will no doubt perform well, but to shatter the record set by PRDP is highly unlikely.
Salman Khan’s Highest Opening Film-
Apart from being the biggest opening film ever, the film is also the highest opening film ever in Salman Khan’s career. The actor has delivered great hits like Kick, Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Ek Tha Tiger which have all joined the 100 crore club. However to make an opening record of Rs. 39 crores is something that cannot be achieved so easily. His upcoming movie Sultan has already started building lot of hype now only time will tell if it crosses Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’s record.
Biggest Four Day Collection-
